SiRA: Social Impact Rapid Assessment
SiRA is a digital pre-screening platform that shows whether a development project needs a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) report. It screens development sites against 29 physical and social factor maps, takes site boundaries by lot number, coordinates, KMZ or shapefile, and runs buffer analysis from 500 m to 5 km.
We developed the platform and supplied the ArcGIS Enterprise server and infrastructure behind it. SiRA is owned by PLANMalaysia Terengganu (PMT), in collaboration with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and PEERS Consult (M) Sdn. Bhd. It is live at sira.com.my.

Questions about GIS application development
Our ArcGIS licences came from another distributor. Can you still build on it?
Yes. Licensing and development are separate. Whichever authorised Esri distributor supplied your licences, we can build and maintain applications on your platform.
Can you take over a GIS application another vendor built?
Yes. Send us what you have and we will review the code and the setup, then advise whether to continue it or rebuild it.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes, through an annual maintenance contract that covers updates, fixes, monitoring and support for the application and the platform it runs on.
